Smoothing Sponge

Very fine-grained soft sponge (220) ideal to remove the slight roughness created by Magic Paint chalk paints and obtain velvet textured surfaces.

It removes the mark of the brush stroke, but not the grain of the wood.

Use in the direction of the wood grain and brush stroke,

then remove the small amount of dust created with a soft damp cloth.

We don’t recommend using this sponge before colour washing or antiquing with waxes.

It can be used after antiquing with coloured waxes to achieve a beautiful marbled effect.

Thanks to its softness, it will easily creep into cracks or smooth curved surfaces.
